Facing a double-edged sword, the LGBT community of color has to deal with two sometimes-less-than-accepting groups.

The LGBTQA Resource Center at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton is trying to help. They offered for people to come discuss their experiences in a familiar environment — with others who might share those experiences. These support groups, commiserated on Feb. 1 and Feb. 15, were a new approach for students to get help where they might need it most. These meetings come on the heels of Gay Black History Month.
