NSU Art Museum’s permanent collection contains more than 7,000 works, including the most celebrated and largest holdings in America by the post-war, avant-garde European Cobra artists, and the largest collection anywhere of works and archival materials by American painter William J. Glackens and his circle, including John Sloan, George Bellows, Maurice Prendergast, and Glackens’ wife Edith Dimock.

The museum recently received a significant promised gift of 100 works from the highly regarded contemporary art collection of David Horvitz and Francie Bishop Good. Among the artists represented are: Cecily Brown, Tracey Emin, Teresita Fernández, Nan Goldin, Barbara Kruger, Ana Mendieta, Catherine Opie, Cindy Sherman, Amy Sillman, Lorna Simpson, Kiki Smith, Mickalene Thomas, and Kara Walker.
